Flock
Flock was created during a placement at The Canterbury Academy with a group of BTEC and A-Level students at the start of 2016 over several weekly sessions.
The piece had no narrative in the sense that it was an abstract interpretation of a flock of birds; inspired by the work of contemporary choreographer, Merce Cunningham.
The students took to the material like a duck to water (pardon the pun) which enabled me to challenge their creative outlooks and physical limits even more; something that as a choreographer I relish in.
Flock was performed during a showcase of works at The Canterbury Academy on 21st of March 2016.
