Modern Minuet is my most recent work; rehearsals are still underway before the showing of this piece at the Canterbury Christ Church; End of Year Show in May 2016.

 

Similarly to previous works, this piece required months of preparationin order to maintain enough research to create a piece with substance. One element of this was deciding what my interpretation of a Modern Minuet is. This resulted in me creating a work that embodies the emotions one endures during a modern day relationship.

 

The piece was not created to mock emotion; but simply to reveal and uncover it in a cathartic way. For this reason I wanted the dancers to feel a form of connection with the piece in order to portray a real representation of how they feel.
